What could be better than celebrating New Year in the mountains? Flavoursome food, snow, ski slopes, a roaring fire and a great atmosphere for young and old.
We're doing what we used to do and opening the hotel for the New Year weekend. From 27 December to 2 January, the hotel will be open for those who want to celebrate the new year with us.
We have organised a number of different activities throughout the holidays, and we look forward to entering the new year with good friends and guests. During the day, we recommend using the nature around the hotel. Cross-country skiing, alpine skiing either here at Golsfjellet or in Hemsedal. Dog sledding and sleigh rides are some of the things you'll find near the hotel. We are happy to help with arrangements and bookings. Right next to the hotel we have an outdoor sauna with ice bathing. This can be booked in advance or directly at reception on arrival.
Events taking place during the New Year's weekend will be added here and below you can see some of what is already planned. Changes may occur, so stay tuned for an updated programme.
Prices (valid from 27.12 2024-02.01.2025)
1990,- per day (per person in a double room) for half board. Minimum two days.
Children 0-5 years 300,- / 6-10 years 600,- / 11-15 years 900,- per day.
Extra charge for dog in the room: 200,- per day.
If you want full board (must be booked in advance): additional NOK 275,- per person per day.
0-5 years: 75,- / 6-10 years: 125,- / 11-15 years: 150,-
If you want three days or more, the price is 1790,- per day (per person in a double room).
Includes accommodation, breakfast and dinner. Concerts, Christmas market and other activities are also included. Lunch must be booked in addition.

New Year's Eve: 990,- per person. 1/2 price for children under 16 years. Children's buffet 0-5 years 195,-
Includes fireworks, live music and New Year's speech.
Christmas concert 27 December: Free Christmas concert. Mulled wine and gingerbread will be served.
Canoe trip 29.12: 350,- per person. Free for children under three years. Booked at reception.
Christmas party 30 December: 790,- per person. 1/2 price for children under 16 years.
Sports lunch every day. Salads, pasta dishes and soups. Desserts and coffee. Adult NOK 295,- Child NOK 175,-
