What happens at Oset?
2024
January
- 12 January: The hotel reopens after the Christmas holidays.
- 19 - 21 January: Yoga, Fire and Ice with Hilde from Vinternatt and yoga instructor Rachel. Warm up a January-cold body, enjoy delicious food and the winter atmosphere in the mountains. Read more and book your place here.

- 28 January: Family Sunday at Oset. Lunch and swimming for the whole gang. The pool is open 10.00-15.00. Lunch is served 13.30-15.30. Table reservations are desirable.

- 8 - 11 February: Krystal Rally Norway, motorbike meeting. More info here.
- 16 - 25 February: Winter holidays Week 8 at Oset. As usual, there will be lots of activities and fun going on. Stay tuned.
- 17 February: Torchlight skiing on Golsfjellet. Join us for the most beautiful ski trip of the year, which has become an annual tradition here in Gol. The trip takes place in beautiful surroundings at Golsfjellet, where the entire trail is illuminated with torches and a team that ensures a good atmosphere and bonfires on the trail. - 22 March - 1 April: Easter on Oset.

- 5 - 7 April: The careless network. A full programme all weekend with an Italian buffet on Friday and winter tapas on Saturday. Torgeir and the Celebrity will be there, and we hope you will too.
- 14 April: Family Sunday at Oset. Lunch and swimming for the whole gang. The pool is open 10.00-15.00. Lunch is served 13.30-15.30. Table reservations are desirable.
May
- The hotel will be closed and reopen on 14 June. You are most welcome.
- 20 May: The fishing season starts. Fishing licences and an overview of fishing waters can be found at ifiske.no.
June
- The hotel will be closed and reopen on 14 June. You are most welcome.
- 22 June: Vasskanten café opens. Waffles, ice cream and lots of other goodies are on the menu. The café is open Saturdays and Sundays from 11:00 to 17:00, and in weeks 28, 29 and 30 (5-28 June) it is open every day from 11:00 to 17:00.
- 29 June: Opening of the frisbee golf course at Oset Fjellhotell. Come and join the opening and test our brand new 18-hole frisbee golf course. The event starts at 12.00. Free loan of discs on this day.
- 29 June: Summer party in Vasskanten. We'll be firing up the barbecue from 16.00. There will be competitions, games and a great atmosphere on the menu.
July
- Summer holidays at Oset. We have many activities to suit young and old.
- 4, 11, 18 and 25 July: "Drop-in sauna" - Come to Oset Fjellhotell and enjoy a cosy hour in our outdoor sauna, idyllically located behind the hotel. From 17.00-18.00. 200,- per person. Limited number of places, sign up before 12 noon the same day.
September
- 13 - 15 September: Leif Anders Wentzel and Trond Nagell-Dahl present their show: "Bollocks, pop and pizza" and we set the table for a delicious Italian feast. Read more about the event here.
- 20 - 22 September: Fårefestivalen / The sheep festival on Gol. We prepare our delicious autumn buffet on Fridays and Saturdays, and hope you enjoy autumn in the mountains.
- 22 September: Family Sunday at Oset. Lunch and swimming for the whole gang. The pool is open 10.00-15.00. Lunch is served 13.30-15.30. Table reservations are desirable.
- 27 - 29 September: Wildlife weekend at Oset. We serve a buffet with delicious flavours of game both Friday and Saturday. Table reservations are desirable. Please contact oset@oset.no or call 32 07 95 00. On Fridays and Saturdays, we organise transport to and from cabins at Golsfjellet.
October
- 4 October: Come and enjoy our Italian festive table from 19:00. Table reservation is requested.
- 5 October: Harvest market in Vasskanten. Market stalls, music and good food are on the menu. Come and spend a lovely autumn day with us.
- 5 October: Autumn buffet and party at Oset Fjellhotell. We want to round off the Autumn Market in Vasskanten with a delicious autumn buffet here at the hotel. Flavourful cold and hot dishes are on the menu, and we can promise you sweet and tempting desserts.

- 15 - 17 and 18 - 20 October: Oktoberfest senior just like it used to be. The programme includes a Tyrolean buffet, music and dancing, and a Tyrolean lunch. Please contact oset@oset.no for the full programme. The event is fully booked.

- 27 December at 17.00: Christmas concert at Oset fjellhotell with mulled wine and Christmas cakes. More info and prices.
- 28 December at 16.00: Bonfire lunch with marshmallows and mulled wine at the lavo.

- 29 December at 16.00: Culture school for children. Singing, theatre and dance.

- 29 December at 18.00: Christmas show - the children who have attended the cultural school entertain.
- 29 December at 20:00: Atmospheric sleigh ride. Must be booked at reception. 350,- per person. Children under 3 years free.
- 30 December: Welcome to a good old-fashioned Christmas tree party. Sports lunch from 13.30 with subsequent Christmas tree party at 16.00. Table reservation is desirable. More info and prices.

- 31 January-2 February: A day's break - a tribute to Jahn Teigen. Join us for a journey through the musical life of Jahn Teigen. We'll eat good food, go skiing and enjoy the weekend.
- 15 February: Torchlight skiing on Golsfjellet. Join us for the most beautiful ski trip of the year, which has become an annual tradition here in Gol. The trip takes place in beautiful surroundings at Golsfjellet, where the entire trail is illuminated with torches and a team that ensures a good atmosphere and bonfires on the trail. - 15 February - 2 March: Winter holidays at Oset. Weeks packed with activities. Bonfires, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, shows and lots of fun activities at the hotel. See the programme for weeks 8 and 9 here.

- 16 - 23 March: Cross-country skiing and flavoursome food are on the menu when we invite you to Skiing holidays for pensioners. Book your stay this week and get 25% discount. More information to come.
- 28 - 30 March: Slarverennet runs from Hemsedal to Gol. See more info at slarverennet.no

- 10. -12 April: Frozen lake marathon. An awesome day of marathon running on the Tisleiafjord. See more info here.

- 18th - 20th of July: Goldagan 2025. Tivoli and a lively atmosphere in the pedestrianised street. The shops move out and the entire city centre street becomes a vibrant market.
- 19th -20th of July: Goldags race at Fuglehaugen. Come along and watch fast cars, a great atmosphere and full baluba on the mountain.
- 24 - 27 July: Olsok at Oset. Including live music, barbecue lunch, music quiz and Olsok bonfire.

A Christmas market combined with a Christmas party at our hotel is perhaps one of the cosiest traditions you can take part in during the pre-Christmas period. We recommend that you book your room early, as it fills up quickly.
